Mont Blanc Tramway
France’s highest railway, and one of the last rack and pinion trains in
France, passes through stunning mountain scenery with views of the Contamines
valley, Aiguille du Gouter, Aiguilles Rouges, Aiguille du Midi and Mont Blanc.
In winter the journey ends at 1800m, at the top of the Bellevue/ Prarion, and is
a leisurely ride up the mountain. In summer, the train ends at the foot of the
Bionnassay Glacier, the Nid d'Aigle, at 2372m: from here experienced
mountaineers can climb to the Tete Rousse and Gouter mountain huts and Mont
Blanc.
Thermes de St Gervais
A visit to the hot springs at Le Fayet is the best way to relax after an
energetic day on the slopes. Situated in a magnificent park setting, it has been
open for over 200 years and offers the most advanced spa treatments. Choose from
a large selection of treatments for young mums, slimming and beauty therapy such
as under water massages, clay applications & relaxing baths.
Chamonix - Aiguille du Midi Cable Car (3842m
A spectacular aerial voyage, on one of the highest cable cars in the world,
ends at the Aiguille du Midi for a vista of world-famous summits including Mont
Blanc and the Matterhorn (on a clear day). A must-do for every holiday in St
Gervais.
Chamonix - Montenvers Railway
Take the Montenvers train from Chamonix to explore the Mer de Glace at the foot of the Drus,
La Verte and Les Grandes Jorasses peak. From the arrival station, you can visit the crystal
gallery, the alpine fauna exhibition and the ice grotto.

Switzerland – a scenic train ride to Martigny in Switzerland from Le Fayet
(through Chamonix) on the Mont Blanc Express is a popular outing. Once in Martigny visit The
Pierre Gianadda Foundation or take the Chatelard Funicular up to the Emosson Dam from the Swiss village of Chatelard.
